Dear Mary-Ann,

The house is comfortable, well furnished and welcoming, a gorgeous Victorian with high ceilings and great woodwork. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, the bathrooms well appointed. MaryAnn provides courteous service and a fabulous breakfast, and all at a rate that's better than the area hotels. I highly recommend it.

The house itself, for those who have not had the pleasure of seeing it yet, is a dream-b&b - gorgeous inside and out, impeccably decorated, in tone with the era it was built in, enhancing the skillfully preserved wood-carvings in the Piano room, Master bedroom and hallways; Lighting still features the old fixtures, made to use electricity now, but spreading so much more than light in this oasis of calm and serenity you don't want to leave & can't help but feel good-hearted envy toward its keeper for having the well-earned privilege of calling it her home:)

Plenty of opportunities to explore nature (hiking, fishing, skiing) around the house and at a short driving-distance nearby, as well as to dine in style in the nearby village or at the walking-distance fish/sea-food restaurant featuring most original and innovative menu - a must try!!

Lovely and warm, clean and well-kept home with lots of charm! Mary Ann was fantastic, funny and welcoming! Her cooking was stellar! She even baked chocolate chip cookies just in time for a snack before bed! Highly recommended for a romantic get-away! Especially because the legendary Farmington River is just a few blocks away. This is a world-famous river where people come to fly-fish from as far away as Finland! There's kayaking and river tubing near there also! And for couples that want to get married in a quaint church, there's one a few doors down that is just straight out of a post card. Can't say enough good things!

The breakfast at your table is my favorite part!! It feels like home away from home, and a visit at a friend's house; the fire place and the home-made muffins and scrambled eggs and sausages;) the variety you give every morning and the constancy of the out of this world taste of your coffee.... Love it, miss it... can't wait to have it again!!

this is a long over-due THANK YOU, for your amazing hospitality and warmth, with which you have welcomed me and my family at your home so many times now, since that late summer weekend in 2007;

Stayed there last winter with my kids and enjoyed it. Right around the corner from Ski Sundown (3 minute drive), comfortable rooms, great hospitality and value. Looking forward to staying there again soon!

Beautiful accommodations in a historical Victorian building. Great lady named Mary Ann who cooks a mean breakfast!
